Your Tasks:

You will take a lead role in managing Mutares’ invested portfolio companies. You will be responsible to setup the overall transformation strategy, identifying business improvement opportunities and implementing and tracking those initiatives together with local management team to improve the business performance.

  • Daily Finance Management: lead and supervise local finance team in the portfolio company to build-up adequate finance related process (Accounting, AR/AP, Treasure, Tax, Controlling, FP&A) to meet the requirement of Mutares
  • Financial System Implementation : lead and supervise local team to implement ERP and other financial related systems in the portfolio company with the support of Mutares IT Department
  • Business analysis: conducting bottom-up detailed analysis for underlying business to provide full transparency for the risks and opportunities right after the acquisition
  • Initiative scoping: identifying improvement ideas with proper implementation Plan
  • Initiative implementation: driving the implementation together with local team to reach the targeted improvement potentials. Tracking and reporting to ensure transparency. Providing risk analysis and mitigation plan for negative deviations. Building up continuous improvement culture and DNA within the target portfolio company
  • Strategic setup: conducting an overarching strategy analysis for the portfolio company within Mutares Group to seek for potential synergies. Support M&A team to identify add-on acquisitions
  • Operational DD: support M&A team for operational due diligence work and identifying the improvement potentials to structure the M&A deal case
  • Leadership: representing Mutares and shareholders in the portfolio companies to support and build a strong local team to lead the business for further success
  • Team development: participate in recruitment activities and providing mentorship to junior team members

Your Profile:

  • At least 9-10 years of experience in financial management role in industry or in consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of economics, finance or similar with outstanding results
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams in complex situations with solid commitment and motivation
  • Structured, pragmatic and hands-on approach to solve problems and drive impact combined with an entrepreneurial and team mindset
  • Proficiency with the MS-Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong commitment, flexibility and motivation
  • Fluent English
  • Willingness to travel 4 days per week (typ. Mo-Thu)
