Mutares actively support its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. Within our Operations team, we are looking to hire a Pricing Specialist who combines strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset and a passion for driving profitability through strategic pricing initiatives. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe

Your Tasks

In this role, you will support Mutares’ invested portfolio companies by developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance revenue and margin performance. Your responsibilities include:

  • Pricing Strategy Development: Design and implement pricing models and frameworks aligned with business objectives and market dynamics
  • Data Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of pricing structures, customer segments, and competitive benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Performance Tracking: Design price monitoring solutions, report on key metrics, and recommend adjustments to optimize profitability
  • Collaboration: Work closely with local management teams to ensure pricing strategies are understood, adopted, and integrated into commercial processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that foster a culture of pricing excellence and margin optimization across the portfolio
  • Support M&A Activities: Assist in pricing-related due diligence and contribute to deal structuring by identifying revenue improvement potentials

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed a degree in the field of economics, finance engineering or similar with outstanding results
  • At least 6 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or commercial analytics within industry and consulting; experience in B2B environments is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in pricing tools and methodologies, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with BI tools (MS PowerBI, Qlik); experience with ERP systems is advantageous
  • Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week (typically Monday – Thursday) and to work in an international environment
